This is a pretty interesting case. I have alot of admiration for John Gilmore for challenging things that sometimes I don’t even perceive as wrong. I wish John luck in this case….
Gilmore challenges US requiring “Your Papers Please”. Today, John Gilmore, co-founder of the EFF, is challenging the government’s un-written rule that airline passengers must show ID before they are allowed to board. Likened to Germans demanding “Your Papers Please”, we can all understand why requiring identification serves merely as a control and tracking tactic, and provides no real anti-terrorism benefit.
