It’s always entertaining to come home to find comments in my weblog. They’re often from Kerri or from Erin, or sometimes some other bloggers. Many of them have made me laugh, cry, or just giggle out loud.
There’s also a large contingent of jerkwads who formerly worked in my organization under me who have chosen to come to my weblogs to post insulting comments about myself, my family, or other people whom I choose to associate with – and often call my friends.
The most recent comments, now deleted, referred to me as a “fat nerd”, which I have to admit was quite the original insult, since I am overweight by about thirty pounds at the current time, and I’m definately a nerd. I mean, look, my hobbies are reading, computing, the internet, technology, and gadgets. So if you think that’s insulting then you are more immature than I thought.
If this is what excites you, coming here and posting comments on this weblog, as if you’re going to upset me, my friends, my family, then you’re wrong. I have lived through far more difficult people and far more difficult situations than worrying about your jerkassed comments here, in this place that isn’t even real.
If you actually believe that this is going to bring me down, then all of you are much bigger idiots than I ever thought.

Hmmm. Interesting. I actually think you're lookin' pretty good these days. And, I think NERD is not quite as accurate as GEEK, which is, in fact, a badge of honor around these parts. Eh. They're probably on dialup anyway.
Of course, the jerkwads don't know who I am, so they can insult me, too, but they don't know that I'm rilly KEWT. 🙂
I can't say I would be particularly insulted, not that I think you are. I, personally, would view it as an honor, to be quite honest. I mean really, if these idiots have to take the time out of their day to make the comment, then at least you know you have gotten to them in some way, shape or form.
Remember, this is coming from a high school teacher. I sit everyday and watch the immature comments fly at me. I sit back and laugh. It isn't even worth responding to. I rather enjoy watching them work themselves into a huge 'slam fest'.
I have to admit, it is even funnier to see adults do it. Nothing like wearing your immaturity and your IQ on your shirt like a badge.
I'm sure your readers think I'm an idiot/geek/nerd…hell, chemistry teacher. I am, but chemistry (and supervisory positions) take high intelligence. It takes a lot of brains to roll with the punches and laugh the whole time.
It doesn't take too much upstairs at all to think up these inane comments. (For those of you unfamiliar with that word, it means stupid in your language).

You may be a NERD/GEEK, but you are probably one of the most intelligent, and passionate people I've met! Also, one of the best teachers too! Don't sweat what anyone says (as if it would bother you)
