Spent the day with the sidekick getting driver’s licenses (at one location) and license plates (at another location), filing for the Homestead tax exemption, and getting library cards.
Even had to take a knowledge test at the license bureau since I was transferring into Minnesota from out of state.
Fun, fun, fun.
Now to install new license plates.
Finally joined the library, the new reading list looks like this:

One reason I join libraries is so that I can read books from people or institutions that I refuse to give money to.. like Seymour Hersh. I refuse to fund this bastard, but I do want to know what he’s saying.
In Texas for the sidekick’s sister’s wedding on Saturday. First vacation in quite awhile that wasn’t related to packing, unpacking, preparing the house for sale, or moving in. And yay for that.
New Powerbook 15″ ordered. 1.67mhz processor, 120GB HD, 2GB of RAM. Should be here in a week and a bit.
