What is Scripting News: “‘Only steal from the best’ is a motto I have stolen from some great writer whose name I don’t know. It illustrates an important difference between writing and programming. In programming we tend to reinvent what others have invented, or even worse, patent things that other people have invented.” [Scripting News]

Building PHP Applications With Macromedia
Building PHP Applications With Macromedia Dreamweaver MX – Harish Kamath for www.devshed.com – Massimo tipped me off to this one. Thanks Massimo!
An exploration of the PHP features of Dreamweaver MX. “Most RAD tools include very limited support for PHP – which makes them unwelcome visitors on my computer, since most of my work involves working with PHP and MySQL-based sites. When I got my hands on Dreamweaver MX, though, I was impressed with its feature set and capabilities. Sure, it didn’t include *everything* on my wish list…but it’s clear that the guys at Macromedia have been thinking about the problem, and have made a serious effort to address PHP in their tool. “
The tone of the article is informal and informative. If you are a PHP pro looking at DMX, this is a good start. If you are DMX person looking at PHP, then this is a very good article to look at.
Also remember that the User Authentication and Master-Detail Page extensions are available on the Developer Resource Kit volume 2.
