Seiji seems like an interesting

by Bryan Strawser · Jul 14, 2002

Seiji seems like an interesting fellow.  He leaves Boston with a great reputation.

I’ll always remember my two memories of him…

In 1999, he conducted the Boston Pops for Stars and Stripes Forever and obviously really enjoyed himself. He was laughing and dancing around the stage.  Later that year, I went to an open rehersal and saw him conduct one of the World War II Requiem pieces.  I could see his energy and enthusiasm all over again.

He’ll be sorely missed.
