This whole thing is quite

by Bryan Strawser · Mar 20, 2002

This whole thing is quite incredible.  It’s entirely possible that Mitt will win this election.  The democrats involved are boring old Massachusetts Pols.  Nothing new there.  And they’re democrats, which is doubly worse.  But I’m still shocked that Jane dropped out of the race.  At least she did it for the right reasons – couldn’t win, spend more time with her family, and so on.  She’s 35.. She’ll be back.  How many 35 year old ex-governors do you know?  She’s only got six years on me….    Jane Swift drops out of GOP governors race; Romney to run. by Bryan Strawser · Mar 20, 2002

Is this really that big of a deal?  I mean, you can still buy their hardware and use it.  You can still buy their hardware and run Linux on it.  Maybe I’m missing something.  Slashdot | More on Dell Dropping Linux Support. [Privacy Digest]

Adam Curry is my hero.

by Bryan Strawser · Mar 20, 2002

Adam Curry is my hero.  For years, in my early teens, I would watch him on MTV.  I always believed him to be an American – in that he spoke completely accentless English (at least to my smalltown ears).  Now, as a successfull businessman in his own right, he’s at the cutting edge of the new web experience.  Wow.  As often is the case, Adam Curry is the guinea pig for this. He’s launching his Blog News Network, as both a radio show and a Radio show. There are other deals in the pipe now, but first we have to do one more release of Radio, version 8.0.7, and this little bootstrap will be complete. [Scripting News]

I would run Radio Community

by Bryan Strawser · Mar 20, 2002

I would run Radio Community Server..  Except that it requires a windows server, which we do not own.  We’re a Linux (and thus Apache) firm.  Ack!  Michael Fraase: “Personal computers infiltrated organizations through the back door. Someone brought one in to make his or her job easier and the notion spread, like a virus. RCS is going to infiltrate organizations the same way.”  [Scripting News]

Well said.  John Wayne. “I’ve always followed my father’s advice: he told me, first to always keep my word and, second, to never insult anybody unintentionally. If I insult you, you can be goddamn sure I intend to. And, third, he told me not to go around looking for trouble.” [Motivational Quotes of the Day]
