I knew this was coming.

by Bryan Strawser · Jan 24, 2002

I knew this was coming.  I have 8 computers inside my AT&T Broadband connection.  One large desktop, a mac, a Sony VAIO laptop, a Gateway Laptop (which only plays MP3s), the router/firewall box (Linux, of course), and a bunch of old old Sun Boxes.  I don’t particularly want to pay for all of these.  Most of them only talk to each other, not to the Internet anyways.  Now I’m waiting for the AT&T Broadband post about AT&T hunting down NAT users.  Comcast Gunning for NAT Users [Slashdot]

Gimme, this is k-rad k00l.  Too bad I can’t afford it.  I miss my admin.  The Last Word in Dictation. Period.. Copytalk, a weird and exciting new invention from the man who brought you Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing, is a dictation service that impresses. [The New York Times: Technology]

Time to upgrade!  Radio 8.0.2

by Bryan Strawser · Jan 24, 2002

Time to upgrade!  Radio 8.0.2 is ready. When you get a new version, you only need to copy the new app into the Radio UserLand folder, replacing the old one. On 8.0.1 this wasn’t clear, and lots of people did fresh installs, with not-great results. We’re learning.  [Scripting News]
