Harry Potter #3 Done
Finished with Harry Potter #3: The Prisoner of Akazban. Now I just need to read number four and then I can get to the deep dark secrets of JK’s latest book.
War Railing
Crusing along Amtrak northbound from NYC Penn Station up to Providence, got MacStumbler going – it’s found four open access points so far as well as another laptop user here on the train that has an open wireless card on their system. Loads of fun!
Scripting News Down?
I’m on Amtrak right now, so I certainly can’t confirm this.
tj 4 dw. For my friend Dave the wise words of Thomas Jefferson: “Nothing gives one person so much advantage over another as to remain always cool and unruffled under all circumstances.” Here’s the last version of scripting.com’s homepage. [Adam Curry: Adam Curry’s Weblog]
Headed back
Just pulled out of Amtrak’s Penn Station on Train #94, heading back to Providence after four days in NYC.
Went on the NBC Studio Tour today which was pretty slick – I had no idea how small some of the sets were — highly recommended for anyone that hasn’t done it before.
We happened to catch the end of the today show doing a broadcast near where we were standing at Rockefeller Center — Ann Curry and Al Roker walked by us about fifteen feet away from where we were standing – got some great photographs. Ann had some serious high heels on. Alot of people staring and groping at both of them as they went by. Not quite the security presence that i was really expecting to see, but pretty neat over all.
Shot nearly 170 pictures that I’m keeping, so should be fun to fiddle with them in iPhoto and see what I can turn out.
NYC Day Three
NYPD Police Museum. NY Stock Exchange – saw a real life NYPD SWAT Team there too, took pictures. Metropolitan Museum of Art (WOW!).
Tomorrow: NBC Studio Tour & Museum of Modern art.
