Shout Outs
So, some of my employees have found this weblog. So a quick shout out to Target’s Metro Boston Team!
The Bright Apple
I’m sitting in Terminal B at Boston’s Logan Airport waiting on my boss to arrive – directly across from the Starbucks here. I’ve got the PowerBook out of my lap blogging away and fiddling with email and the like.
It’s interesting to watch people walk by, see the bright Apple logo on the laptop case, and stare… It’s a pretty cool feeling.
I’ve switched and I’m not going back!
Friedman on Peace
Wow.
Passion for Peace. I used to believe that when it came to Middle East peacemaking, America couldn’t want peace more than the parties themselves. I no longer believe that. By Thomas L. Friedman. [New York Times: Opinion]
Harry Truman: Carry the Battle to Them….
Harry S Truman. “Carry the battle to them. Don’t let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive. And don’t ever apologize for anything.” [Motivational Quotes of the Day]
The Blogging Inner Circle
I can’t speak for Simon, or Dave, or Scoble, or others, but I certainly have to simply produce better content in my blog before I can even think of entering the inner circle of blogging, if there really is such a thing.
Certainly until I write original content that’s worth reading – most folks aren’t going to come by here looking for insight on much of anything. But writing good quality content – particularly original content – requires the time and inclination to write, which unfortunately doesn’t come around very often for me….
Simon Phipps asks: “How does one break into the ‘inner circle’ of weblogs?”
Well, asking the question just got Simon 18 readers. For whatever that’s worth.
Al Jazeera Head Fired
I enjoyed Al-Jazeera when I could find it operating online – certainly not because I agreed with the slant of their coverage, but rather because they were putting out a story that alot of the rest of the world was seeing. It was quite entertaining.
I have to admit that this certainly does not suprise me, but I am wondering why I’m not seeing the outrage about this in the popular media here in the United States…
I’M SHOCKED, SHOCKED: The head of Al Jazeera has been fired in response to charges that he worked with Saddam’s intelligence services. Boy, you sure wouldn’t have guessed that from their coverage, would you?… [Instapundit.com]
