Entertaining.  The ACLU really does

by Bryan Strawser · Jan 26, 2002

Entertaining.  The ACLU really does represent Satan. The ACLU is planning to sue the Florida hamlet of Inglis unless they rescind a town order evicting Satan. [kuro5hin.org]

Well then, leave.  So what

by Bryan Strawser · Jan 25, 2002

Well then, leave.  So what if the President of Harvard doesn’t express strong support for Affirmative Action.  Quite frankly, if I was in his shoes, I wouldn’t support it either.  It bugs me to no end that Lani is now a professor at Harvard.  She has some rather Communistic ideas about voting rights.  A Harvard Star in Black Studies Joins Princeton. K. Anthony Appiah resigned his position at Harvard University to accept an offer to join the faculty of rival Princeton University. [The New York Times: National]

Let them carry.  I only wish we had anywhere close to this amount of freedom here in the People’s Republik of Massachusetts.  Utah Colleges Fight to Keep Weapons Out. Old computers rock…  I am

by Bryan Strawser · Jan 25, 2002

Old computers rock…  I am using a three year old Sony VAIO Z505RX, it’s a p2-400.  My main desktop machine (Linux, of course) is a P3-933, my server is a P3-833, but my other machines are dominated by a P2-266, a P1-133, and several old (some more than ten year old) Sun boxes.  Linux runs on all of them! 😉  Many of you know that I have been working with Peter Ford on “SchoolBlogs”. Peter is a teacher at the British School of Amsterdam. I recently found out he’s been working all this time on a Pentium I windows95 machine with 16 Megs of Ram. Woah! He’s been Running “radio” on that machine as well! Today I’m dropping off a nice Powerbook with OSX, can’t wait to see the results of his upgrade 🙂 [Adam Curry: CurryDotCom]

by Bryan Strawser · Jan 25, 2002

Go, go, Adam! Adam gets a radio show. And guess what, we’re going to integrate his show with our Radio show. This is so cool. The Netherlands is leading the way. They’re going to participate in one of the most interesting connections between broadcast radio and the Web.  [Scripting News]
