Idiot

by Bryan Strawser · Sep 29, 2002

Yeah, but is anybody really listening to him?  Sure Salon is, but it’s a liberal rag anyways.

Give ’em hell, Al. With a series of fiery speeches, the former vice president recovers his voice, his backbone and his place as the 2004 Democratic front-runner. [Salon.com]

Politicians

by Bryan Strawser · Sep 29, 2002

Sometimes I feel like driving up to Beacon Hill and doing the same thing…

Don Park: “He eventually became a Korean Congressman and, during one particular Congress session, he poured a barrel full of pig urine all over the Korean Congress because he was pissed off about all the dirty politics going on.” [Scripting News]

Suspicious Minds

by Bryan Strawser · Sep 27, 2002

Elvis Presley – Suspicious Minds

We’re caught in a trap, I can’t walk out
because I love you too much baby

Why can’t you see, what you’re doing to me
When you don’t believe a word I say.

We can’t go on together, with suspicious minds
And we can’t build our dreams, on suspicious minds

So, if an old friend I know, drops by to say hello
Would I still see suspicion in your eyes?

Here we go again, asking where I’ve been
You can’t see these tears are real, I’m crying

We can’t go on together, with suspicious minds
And be can’t build our dreams, on suspicious minds

Oh let our love survive – or dry the tears from your eyes
Let’s don’t let a good thing die
When honey, you know
I’ve never lied to you
Mmm yeah, yeah

Keyboards

by Bryan Strawser · Sep 27, 2002

I type on a Dell Latitude CP at the “real job”, a Sony Vaio PCG-R505JL at home, and a Microsoft Natural Keyboard at home on the desktop (programming).  I prefer the Microsoft Natural Keyboard to all of them – feels quite natural, I can type very quickly, and never with any pain.

I do love my Sony though…

Keyboards. Ask talks about keyboards and key remapping. This is really a topic dear to my heart. I’m a unix programmer…. [kasia in a nutshell]

Be Wireless…

by Bryan Strawser · Sep 27, 2002

I switched to Orinoco a few months back thanks to two quick eBay purchases – I’m far happier with their hardware and software than I was with my LinkSys stuff.  It’s the right way to go…

And use eBay, don’t pay retail 😉

Here is everything you need to become a wireless ISP for your neighborhood. [John Robb’s Radio Weblog]

He said “Ass…”

by Bryan Strawser · Sep 26, 2002

Welcome to the Ass-o-tron!. Ok, now this may sound a bit strange, but I was talking with my brother on the phone tonight, showing him the new search features in Frontier 9. Of course, little punk that he is (just kidding Pete), the first term he searches for is “ass”. No results (duh). We then had the (misguided) idea of searching Google for the word “ass” and among others, up pops the Ass-o-tron. This is the one that really got me laughing: www.whitehouse.gov (rated PG-13). (Note: The only reason for this post’s existence is so I’ll show up higher on Google searches for the word “ass” — not!) [Jake’s Radio ‘Blog]
