Just two good ole boys.

by Bryan Strawser · Feb 14, 2002

Just two good ole boys.  Never meaning no harm…  The Ramblin’ Man – dead at 64. Waylon Jennings died today. How and why he died are not interesting to me. Check your favorite news site for more details. Jennings was the original country outlaw. No matter how much you like Country music personally, if at all, his contribution to the history and culture of a uniquely American brand of music is undisputed. [editor’s note, by cp] imrdkl notes that samples of Jennings’s work are available for download. [kuro5hin.org]

Sorry buddy.  Hope you like

by Bryan Strawser · Feb 13, 2002

Sorry buddy.  Hope you like prison.  It’s a good place for you.  One bullet means fifteen years in prison. Dane Allen Yirkovsky had served time for several burglaries. He had done his time, and he was free again. When he was pulling up carpets in a friend’s home, he came across and pocketed a loaded .22-caliber round. The police later found the bullet in his home. (He owns no guns.) For possession of this bullet, Dane Yirkovsky will serve 15 years in prison without parole. Dane Yirkovsky has also written a letter to the Des Moines Register. [kuro5hin.org]
