While I think that the

by Bryan Strawser · Mar 17, 2002

While I think that the idea is a bit wacky..  I do admire the folks at HavenCo for apparantly being successful with what they’re doing..  I just want a full cage in a colocation facility at a reasonable price and remain profitable!  For now, I’ll settle for my 4u of server space.  Want to start a Data Haven?. Have you ever read Neal Stephenson’s Cryptonomicon? Are you running a server farm out of your bedroom closet and wishing you could think of something to do with it? Do you obsess over computer security, asymetric-key cryptography, digital cash, or the future of freedom in the information age? In short, do you wish you could buy an island, recruit a few techies like yourself, start your own Data Haven, and single-handedly change the world? [kuro5hin.org]

Umm..  I think this is crap.  I’ve never seen more than 12 submissions in the queue.  Why is this necessary?  How will K5 avoid being crushed by content?. Kuro5hin, in growing as a community, faces challenges caused by this growth. One of these challenges is how it will handle the large influx of story submission as the number of participants increases. We need to plan now, less K5 implode under its own success. [kuro5hin.org]

by Bryan Strawser · Mar 17, 2002

I need some of this.  I’m confused though, does it help with Anal Itch?  Toilet Paper Technology: “Here at ShitBegone, I know your ass is important. So I’ve designed ShitBegone with thousands of tiny micro-pockets, which actually lift away more feces per wipe than other leading brands”. [via Gregory]  [Adam Curry: Adam Curry’s Weblog]
